Key topics included the future of the pharmacy profession, emerging career paths, digital transformation in healthcare, and the evolving role of pharmacists across various sectors such as hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, medical insurance, and startups.
One of the highlights of the event was the interactive “Career Circles” experience, where participants were divided into small groups, each guided by an industry expert. This allowed attendees to explore topics of interest in greater depth, ask questions freely, and engage in more personalized, open discussions.
In addition, the summit hosted several panel discussions featuring experts from diverse healthcare fields, offering practical insights into career pathways and professional development opportunities within the pharmacy sector.
From Beyond Insurance Brokerage, Dr. Sara Essam participated in one of the panel discussions, where she spoke about the insurance field and the role pharmacists can play within it. She highlighted the opportunities available in medical insurance and how pharmacists can contribute through areas such as medical auditing, claims management, and provider support.
