The Human Side of HR: Beyond Insurance Brokerage at HR Café Egypt

2 November, 2026

Artificial intelligence is changing the way HR teams work. It helps teams manage information faster. It can also support routine tasks and employee services.

But one question still matters: What still depends on people?

That question shaped the HR Café meetup held on 29 October 2026. The theme was “The Human Side of HR: What Technology Will Never Fix.”

This was the sixth HR Café meetup in Egypt. It brought together more than 150 HR professionals. The evening included discussions, learning, and interactive activities.

The main focus was clear. Technology can improve HR processes. But people still remain at the center of the employee experience.

Why the Human Element Still Matters in HR

The keynote by Perihan Ali, the head of Talent Management at e& Egypt examined the limits of automation in people management.

AI can help teams process information. It can also make some tasks faster. But many HR decisions need context and sensitivity. This is especially important in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee services, and performance conversations. Technology can support these processes. But people still need to understand individual situations. They also need to recognize employee needs and make thoughtful decisions. Another key point was the human impact of AI adoption. Organizations should not only think about efficiency. They should also decide where human review is needed. They need to maintain trust in HR decisions. They should also use the time saved by AI to improve coaching, communication, and employee development. The message was not to avoid AI. The goal is to use it carefully. Technology should support people, not replace human judgment where it still matters.

Practical AI Ideas for HR with Meska AI

The meetup also explored practical uses of AI in everyday HR work. In its segment, Meska AI's Strategic Growth Director Youssef El-Refaey held a session where he showed how AI capabilities can be tailored to recurring work needs.

The examples included support for routine documents and presentations. They also showed how AI can help keep materials aligned with an organization’s visual identity. For HR teams, this can reduce repetitive work. It can also make recurring tasks easier to manage. The session also showed that AI can go beyond general prompting. With the right setup, it can support specific workflows. However, human review remains important. Content still needs to be checked for accuracy, relevance, and suitability.

Beyond Insurance Brokerage Introduces the HR Community on Beyond Manager

Beyond Insurance Brokerage also took part in the meetup. During the event, Beyond introduced a new addition to Beyond Manager: the HR Community feature.

The feature gives HR professionals a dedicated space to connect. They can exchange ideas, share perspectives, and engage with a wider professional network. By adding this community experience to Beyond Manager, Beyond aims to support HR professionals beyond insurance management. The platform can support the corporate insurance experience. At the same time, the new HR Community feature creates more opportunities for professional connection.

Interactive Activations from Beyond

Beyond’s participation also included interactive activities. Attendees took part in Spooky Box and Guess It or Face It.

The games added a fun break to the programme. They encouraged curiosity, quick thinking, and friendly competition.

They also gave attendees another way to connect beyond the speaker sessions.

A Conversation About the Future of HR

The 29 October meetup highlighted an important point. The future of HR will depend on both technology and people. AI can make work easier. It can reduce repetitive tasks. It can also create new possibilities for HR teams. But trust, human judgment, and meaningful relationships still matter. For Beyond Insurance Brokerage, HR Café was a chance to connect with the HR community. It was also an opportunity to introduce the HR Community feature on Beyond Manager. As HR technology continues to evolve, the goal should remain simple. Use technology to make work easier, while keeping the human understanding and relationships that make HR meaningful.
